Yes. Timing is based on the system clock (Date.now), not a counter – so the time stays correct after a tab switch or when the screen was briefly off.
Do I get an alarm when the time is up?
Yes, an alarm sound plays. You can also enable browser notifications so you notice the end even in other tabs.
Can I record lap times?
Yes, while the stopwatch is running the lap button stores any number of split times including the difference from the previous lap.
